State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross
Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that Scottie A. Pulliam (D.O.B. 8/9/1971) was found guilty of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse after a jury trial in front of the Honorable Judge Brendan Maher.
In September of 2018, Rockford Police received a complaint from an individual who reported that the defendant, Scottie Pulliam, had sexually abused her. Sensitive Crimes Detectives conducted a follow up investigation which revealed that Pulliam had sexually abused a child under the age of 13 multiple times between 2014 until it was reported in 2018.
Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault is a Class X Felony that is punishable by an extended sentence of 6-60 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of Mandatory Supervised Release. The defendant will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his natural life.
Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse is a Class 2 Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 3-7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by two years of Mandatory Supervised Release.
The sentences imposed by the Court for the Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse charges will run consecutively and will be served at 85%.
Pulliam is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30pm on July 17th, 2019 in front of the Honorable Judge Maher in Courtroom D at the Winnebago County Justice Center.
