Winnebago County covers 520 Square Miles and has a population of 295,266 (2010) with 122,144 taxable parcels.

The Supervisor of Assessments Office is responsible for the publication and mailing of Assessment Change Notices on all taxable parcels.  The Office also maintains all records for Homestead Exemptions.  They assist taxpayers with the filing of property tax exemptions and any questions they may have in understanding the assessment process for their property.

The Supervisor of Assessments Office also assists Township Assessors in the performance of their duties, as well assisting the Board of Review in completing their responsibilities to maintain a timely tax cycle.
