Anderson Japanese Garden - formal five acre Japanese garden.

City market  - The market takes place every Friday during the summer months along Water Street between State and Jefferson Streets in downtown Rockford. It includes local growers and vendors who sell natural products, including vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, cheeses, flowers, herbs, baked goods, wine and healthy snacks, as well as artisans and vendors with unique offerings.

Coronado Theater - opened in 1927, this former vaudeville/movie palace received an $18.5 million restoration in 1999-2001. It hosts over 150 arts and entertainment events each year.

EIGERlab  - EIGERlab ties together INNOVATION-COLLABORATION-ENTREPRENEURSHIP into a centrally located, state of the art mixed-use incubator, serving the region with leading edge business and engineering support services

Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden - operated by Klehm, Inc. a not-for-profit, in cooperation with the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County.

Magic Waters Water Park  - one of the Midwest's largest, run by the Rockford Park District.

Rockford Park District -   The Rockford Park District is in its second century of service, and is the third largest park and recreation system in Illinois, providing a wide variety of recreation programs, services, and award-winning facilities that include Magic Waters Waterpark and five golf courses. The Park District has three times been awarded the prestigious National Gold Medal for excellence in parks and recreation management, and is an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency.
