State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross
Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that a Rockford man has been indicted for an armed robbery to a Rockford business in October of 2018.
On October 7th, 2018, Rockford Police were called to the Metro PCS store at 1009 Broadway after a report of an armed robbery. The clerk told Detectives she was working when four males entered through the door, one of them had a gun and demanded money. During a follow up investigation, the defendant, Dajour L. Bullock (D.O.B. 12/31/1998) was developed as one of the suspects. The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and charges were authorized against Bullock. He was recently indicted by a Winnebago County Grand Jury on one count of Armed Robbery.
Armed Robbery is a Class X Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of Mandatory Supervised Release. Bullock is eligible for an extended term of an additional 15 years in prison based on Illinois State Statute.
Bullock is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail on $75,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9:00am on January 31st, 2019, in front of the Honorable Judge Randy Wilt in Courtroom B at the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center.
The charges are merely allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
