Press Release-Quintin Beasley Indictment

Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that a Rockford man has been indicted for an armed robbery that happened last month.

On February 26th, 2019, Rockford Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens Store at 2323 Charles Street. A man went into the store armed with a knife and demanded money.  Through a follow up investigation, the defendant, Quintin H. Beasley (D.O.B. 12/9/1964) was developed as a suspect.  The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.  As a result, Beasley was charged and subsequently indicted by a Winnebago County Grand Jury for Armed Robbery.


            Armed Robbery is a Class X Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of Mandatory Supervised Release.  


Beasley is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail on $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictment at 9:00am on March 29th, 2019, in front of the Honorable Judge John Lowry in Courtroom B at the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center.  


The charges are merely allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
