County Clerk's Office Closed To All Business Except Elections on November 3
The Winnebago County Clerk's Office, located at 404 Elm Street, Rockford, will only be conduction election services on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020. The Clerk's office will re-open for all regular business on Wednesday, November 4th, at 8 a.m.
Residents wishing to obtain a copy of their birth certificate, death certificate or a copy of their marriage or civil union license should visit during other hours. These certificates can also be ordered online at www.winnebagocountyclerk.com/licenses. All other business, including applying for raffle licenses, DBA business licenses, liquor licenses, paying delinquet taxes, or checking the status of unpaid taxes may come into the office any other day that week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Voters or candidates interested in the outcomes of local races may check the status of the elections by going to www.winnebagocountyclerk.com after the polls close at 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 3rd. Calls for results will not be accepted.
On Election Day, voters must go to their precinct polling place to vote. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
