CEANCI

Career Education Associates of North Central Illinois is one of 61 regional, vocational delivery systems in Illinois charged with the administration and coordination of vocational programs in the 16 high schools in Boone, Winnebago and Ogle Counties. KIDS

McKinney-Vento Homeless Grant and Regional Attendance Cooperative

The Regional Attendance Cooperative, serving Boone, Winnebago and Ogle Counties, is part of a statewide effort to improve student attendance and to prevent dropouts. The Center works cooperatively with students, families and schools to ensure student success; provides technical support to facilitate school-based projects designed to enhance student success; conducts student support/tutoring groups; and sponsors parent education programs. STAR WINNEBAGO

·         Regional Learning Academy

The Regional Learning Academy began serving students on April 14, 1997 as a result of state legislation which called for an alternative program for youth, grades 6-12, who are considered disruptive. This state action was in response to federal legislation which directed states to enact legislation requiring school districts to expel students who bring weapons to school. This alternative program provides educational programming to those students who have been expelled and are in need of educational alternatives. ·         Regional Learning Center

The Regional Learning Center is an educational alternative for young people between the ages of 16 and 21 who have left school before graduation and reside in Boone or Winnebago County. There is no fee for services. Currently, two locations offer a comprehensive continuum of education; academic skills, job seeking and job keeping skills, and support to increase the likelihood of success for youth reentering the educational system.
